On this 28th Anniversary of the Humber River Bridge, we recognize the landmark that defines the Humber Bay Shores community. Built at a cost of $4,050,000, this gateway connects Toronto to Etobicoke, which historically was once a trading route of Eastern Woodlands Indigenous peoples.

In 2016, First Capital had acquired the 28-acre site in Humber Bay Shores commonly known as the Mr. Christie bakery site to develop these lands into residential condominium towers, commercial spaces, and retail.In 2021, First Capital had sold a 50% interest in the development to the Pemberton Group. Together, they will build 15 towers, with heights ranging from 16 to 70-storeys.
These lands are municipally known as 2150 Lake Shore Blvd W, 2194 Lake Shore Blvd W, and 23 Park Lawn Road.

125 The Queensway Update
An application is currently underway to redevelop the land that is now occupied by Sobeys, the LCBO, and Shoppers Drug Mart at 125 The Queensway into 7 condominium towers ranging in size from 47-storeys to 50-storeys or taller.With Humber Bay Shores already oversaturated with condominium towers, these 7 new towers are certainly unwelcome news to our community. It is our view that if you are going to build something, build good, quality construction, not more, cheap shoebox condos. We encourage residents to oppose more new construction, especially given that the 28-acre Mr. Christie’s Bakery site will have another 15 condo towers coming soon.
